I submitted a remove from mail request; why am I still receiving catalogs and postcards?

Our marketing mail is planned many weeks in advance, so it may not be possible to pull mailers that are already in the pipeline.  Please allow 4-6 weeks for your request to take effect.

Has it been more than 6 weeks?

You may still receive catalogs or other promotional pieces from us if your name continues to appear on any of the lists we rent as part of our direct mail program.  We regularly rent mailing lists from a wide variety of associations and organizations that make their membership lists available to outside companies for direct marketing. We are happy to remove your contact information from our own customer mailing list, but we may not be able to remove your name from lists that we purchase from outside vendors.

As a direct-mail based company, Brookes Publishing is committed to honoring “do not mail” requests and we make every effort to include only customers who wish to be in our mailings.  If you continue to receive unwanted mailings from us, please contact our customer service team here or by phone at 1-800-638-3775.  Please be sure to have the catalog available when you call to help us identify the original source of your contact information.

What else can I do?

We recommend that you review your professional memberships and subscriptions and request that your name not be made available for marketing purposes.  You may also visit the Consumer Help page of the Direct Marketing Association web site for additional suggestions on reducing unsolicited mail: www.thedma.org/.
